Nuxellence Eye Contour | Review

I'm sure everyone can remember how the entire blogosphere went into meltdown a few years ago for the Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm. To this day, it is still one of my favourite lip balms, there's nothing else like it around the same price point! Moving on from that, I started using the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse maybe a year ago now and, this is no exaggeration, I've used it every day since! Needless to say, Nuxe is a brand I fully trust so when I was given the opportunity to try out their new eye cream, I couldn't believe my luck!

Say hello to one of the newest additions to the Nuxe family! An eye cream isn't really something I've ever given much thought to in the past. I didn't even have one in my routine before trying this one! When I first opened it and saw the funny looking applicator, my mind immediately went "GIMMICK!". And it might be to some, but I'm telling you, don't knock it 'till you've tried it! I have applied this with my fingers and it just doesn't glide on as well or feel as nice. It's got a small hole on the back which you use to squeeze the cream out and apply it and the you use the metal applicator to spread the cream all around the under eye area. I've got to say, this is one gimmick I have fully adhered to, the applicator is brilliant!

In my skincare routine, I always tended to just apply whatever face moisturizer I was using to my under eye area and call it a day. When trying this, though, I can definitely feel the difference it makes to the area, it feels so comfortable, silky smooth and moisturized, I can see how it could help prevent wrinkles from that alone! However, as with any other anti ageing product, it's impossible to tell if such claims are true or not in the short term.

All in all, this gets a thumbs up from me! I like the way this makes my under eye area feel, I like the process of applying it and I like saying I now wear and eye cream! ...feel so grown up!

Repurchased Products Vol 2.

Getting your hands on a brand new launch is always very exciting, but we all have those products we have been using for years and maybe sometimes don't even realize it! It's those products you pick up every time you're in Boots and reached a "cannot live without" level, the ones you've lost count of how many times you've repurchased, they're always my favourite ones to hear about from other people. Below are some of of mine. I always keep back ups of two of them, since I do use them every day and running out just fills me with dread! Here are my most repurchased products:

Indeed Labs Retinol Reface: I thought jumping on the anti age bandwagon ASAP was a good idea since I'm in my mid 20s (soon to be late 20s after my next birthday, oh dear!). I did a bit of research and initially picked up the La Roche Posay offering. It was good enough, but since I didn't really feel a massive difference on my skin with it, I decided to try a different one when it ran out. The Indeed Labs stood at a much friendlier price point and it works so, so well! I can always feel the difference in the morning after I've used it. It makes my skin feel so smooth and plumped, just what I want! If you're going to start using retinols, don't forget to also invest in a really good SPF, you don't wanna be playing around with these guys!

Superfacialist Rose Hydrate Calming Creamy Cleanser: One of the first posts on this blog is about the time I bought every product in this range (which at the time only consisted of 3 products!). That was all the way back in 2012 and I've been using this cleanser ever since! It's really crazy to think I've been using the same product for almost 5 years now, but it is THAT good! It is absolutely unbeatable at it's price point. If you're looking for a basic, creamy cleanser that will hydrate your skin and leave it feel supple and moisturized, you cannot go wrong with this one!

L'Oreal Micellar Water: This blog post has been in the works for a while (well, when I say "in the works" I mean I took the pictures and never gave the blog post another thought until now!) so I've actually repurchased this guy AGAIN and they've changed the packaging! I have lost count of how many bottles of this I've gone through now. I first picked it up after the Bioderma madness that engrossed the blogging community a few years ago. Back then it was SUPER hard to ge ahold of Bioderma in the UK and after I ran out of my 500ml bottle, I didn't really think it was THAT different to anything else I could just pick up at Boots. I've stuck with this L'Oreal on ever since. I've also tried the Garnier and the La Roche Posay offerings, but keep coming back to this one!

Now I want to hear from you: what are your most repurchased products??
