Twist/Knot Hair Ties

Hair ties didn't used to be something that was on my mind a lot, if I'm honest. But after reading they could be the cause of a lot of hair breakage and witnessing first hand the damage some of them caused to my (and my husband's! He goes through more hair ties than I do!) long hair, I decided to pay a little more attention to what I was using to tie my hair. After ditching the ones with the little metal link, I opted for the ones that are glued together but the tangling still remained.

I'd heard a lot about these twist/knot ties and the promises they make. No more tangled hair AND no kinks? When Prairie Charms offered me a 50% off discount code for their website as part of their Project Blogger, I knew exactly what to get! I ordered the Vivienne Knot Ties in mixed Purple, Orange and Navy blue. I gave the navy blue for my husband to test out, it being more discreet and all, and kept the purple and orange. I love how the bright orange plays off of my dark hair, it looks so pretty!

These secure a pretty tight pony tail, which I wasn't expecting from an elastic band! I don't know what magic is in these, but it is so much easier to take it off without getting your hair all tangled up. This is specially important for my husband, he has gotten all kinds of crazy knots in his hair from pulling out hair ties and it ain't pretty! He's got even longer hair than I do, so these are perfect! About the no kinks, I did notice a tiny little bit but, surprisingly, my hair went back to normal after a few minutes. It's a thumbs up from me on this one! And they're a bargain at £5!

And also as part of their Project Blogger, Prairie Charms are offering readers 50% off on their website. Just enter the code "PB50" at check out and you're good to go! They have many other hair accessories and lovely jewelery! I definitely recommend checking them out.

  6. My hair isn't as long or as thick as yours so the tangling isn't an issue but the kinks are. They're very nice colours too. :)

  7. I got some of these in a beauty box last year - they're really good :D xx

  8. I received these in a beauty box and I've been using them since. I do find they still leave a kink in my hair but it really is easier to remove without tangles.

  10. I love these kind of twist-band hair ties! I love wearing them during the night, as I take showers at night and when I'm sleeping, my hair can get really crazy. When I wake up, my hair is tamed and there is no crease!
